Who we are

The Law Society was formed on 3 October 1967. Its business is managed by the Council of the Law Society (“Council”), which originally consisted of a President, Vice President and three members.

Purpose, vision & strategy

The Law Society was formed to support and protect the character, status and interests of the legal profession in the Cayman Islands. We aim to promote honourable practice in the legal profession, to repress malpractice therein and to decide all question of professional usage or courtesy amongst legal practitioners.

Board & Council members

The executive of the Law Society consists of a President, three Vice-Presidents, Treasurer and Secretary. The current President is Alasdair Robertson, of Maples and Calder.
